Do It Yourself Colloidal Silver GeneratorYou want to build your own Colloidal Silver GeneratorMinimum requirements to build a Colloidal Silver Generator: 3 - 9 volt batteries 1 - battery connector cut in half so the batteries can be connected in series to make a 27 volt supply 2 - wires with alligator clips to go from batteries to production vessel 2 - silver rods of appropriate length This is the basic generator. Many people make this unit and in fact I have seen this design (and less) sold for as much as $200.00 to unsuspecting customers. Please note: The Silver Genie goes well beyond this in it's advanced design. Short comings of a homemade machineIf you are interested in a high quality Ionic Silver commonly referred to as "Colloidal Silver", you will not be able to make it using the basic homemade machine design. You'll be told things like stir the mix every 10 minutes. You will also be told to add only sea salt (saline) to the distilled water. This is done to speed up the ionizing process. Another thing is to heat the water for the same reason. Note: heating the water has no ill effect on the process. That's fine, however whenever you start taking shortcuts, you start making serious mistakes. It takes the time it takes and that's it. Once you start adding ANYTHING other than premade Colloidal Silver to the process, you start on a journey to make a colloidal compound other than Colloidal Silver. That's when things like argyria (blue skin) start coming into play. If your generator does not provide constant current control (limiting), the current (part of electricity that does the ionizing) will do what is called runaway. This is when the current continues to increase causing the silver introduced to the solution to increase. Now, that shortens the amount of time it takes for the process to complete. OK, so where's the problem? Glad you asked. The result of runaway current is that you will have more, larger silver particles than smaller internally usable particles. As the current increases, so does the size of the silver particles. The average generator as described above is good for a very marginal solution for internal use due to the large size of the silver particles not being able to be absorbed at the cellular level. The best use for this solution is topical, sanitizing, gardening uses etc. Basic explanation of runaway current:When it rains and the water starts to trickle down the hill. Only the smallest particles of dirt are taken with it to the puddle at the bottom. As the water continues to flow even harder, pebbles start being picked up in the flow, until finally larger rocks, even boulders start to be eroded into the puddle. If the water is limited to just a trickle, only the smaller particles of dirt will be washed away. This is basically what happens to your Colloidal Silver Solution. As the current flow increases, so does the size of particles now being ripped off the silver rods. We hope this helps you in deciding what type generator is best for you. For more information, Google (search) for colloidal silver particle size. The Silver Genie DesignNot only incorporates current limiting, it also electronically switches the rod polarity from +/- to -/+ etc. automatically. This keeps the process moving along with even dispersal of silver ions and particles without having to stir, unless you really want to. |
