The Silver Genie Advisory & Disclaimer Notice

The information in this box is intended as an advisory

  • You might ask why we have some advertising under Colloidal Silver when our product is Ionic Silver. This is because Colloidal Silver is what most people think they are looking for, so that is what they search for.

The product we promote is best described as Ionic Silver and also referred to as EIS (Electrically Isolated Silver) and Silver Hydrosol (Silver Water). However, we have
found that Colloidal Silver comes up much more often than Ionic Silver does. So when
we advertise Ionic Silver as Colloidal it is not being deceptive, it is for marketing
exposure in search engines & "is" most commonly (though incorrectly) referred to as Colloidal Silver and we try to make that distinction clear on this page.

  • In the category of “True Colloidal Silver", there are very few that qualify. MesoSilver
being one of the most well known, as it contains at least 80% Colloidal Silver particles
and 20% Silver Ions. Normal contents of Ionic Silver are approximately 80% Silver Ions and 20% Colloidal Silver particles.

The majority of solutions purchased are Ionic Silver as are all electrolytically produced home made solutions, if made properly, despite claims to the contrary. If salt of any
kind or form is added to the process, the result is Silver Chloride.

Silver Chloride, if abused, causes Argyria (blue skin), NOT Colloidal or Ionic Silver as many claim. This fact is very difficult to get across to people as they have been adding
salt or saline for years with no ill effects. That is because silver chloride works exactly
the same as Colloidal and Ionic Silver. However when used in sufficient quantities and regularity, it will cause Argyria. In conclusion, never add anything, other than perhaps premade CS or IS to your preparation, but nothing else.

  • There are several reports that suggest "Colloidal Silver" as being the only choice. Though we see little if any difference in efficacy, there are several documents to the contrary
for both points of view. Like the following report for example:

Ionic Silver vs Colloidal Silver which says in conclusion: “The almost total loss of antibacterial activity (when the ionic component has been removed from particulate Mesosilver), proves that ‘ionic’, NOT ‘particulate’, silver is the basis of silver’s antibacterial activity. The lack of ionic content after HCl treatment was the limiting factor in Mesosilver’s poor performance.”

As previously stated, we see little if any difference in efficacy. Out of respect to our competitors, the lack of any conclusive evidence and refusing to add to the existing
confusion, we do not support any current documentation that makes any claims that
one is "better" or "more effective" than the other. This is left for you to decide.

  • Silver Ions - Ions are NOT particles.

Many non-scientific writers confuse ions and charged particles and use the terms
interchangeably when describing colloidal silver. Others refer to colloidal particles as though they are single atoms of silver. Much has been written about silver particles
having a positive charge, which is false.

A silver ion is a single atom of silver that is missing one electron from its outer orbit.
The diameter of a silver ion is 0.230 nm, which is slightly smaller than an atom owing
to one less electron. The missing electron causes the ion to be positively charged.

The particle size typically observed in colloidal silver has been measured in the range
of 5 to 200 nanometers. In fact the silver particles found in colloidal silver are
negatively charged, not positive like the ions. Note: The avarage particle size being slightly more than 21 to 869 times larger than an Ion, but still much smaller than a human cell.

Human cell size ranges from 5,000 to 50,000nm. It is clear to see that both ions as
well as particles are small enough to be quite effective on a cellular level.

  • Finally we would like to point out the wisdom of independant research. Some feel the
only way to obtain a quality product is to buy it pre-made. For those that have this
belief, please read the following FDA abstract and visit the originating site link if you
    wish for the full report.

FDA 21 CFR Part 310 : B. Comments on Safety and Effectiveness as follows: "The comment noted that it had tested a number of these [commercial] products and found that
several actually had no silver content".

  • Though we may personally believe through research, personal experience and testimonials from friends, relatives & customers all that is represented in our site,
Silver Genie does not, nor can it officially make any claims of any kind as to the dosage, uses or effectiveness of Ionic Silver.

We are not pharmacists or doctors, so clearly, we cannot legally support as fact any dosage recommendations, claims or statements by us or others posted on our site other than to share our personal beliefs, experiences, research and suggestions. The ultimate decision is yours to make and then you can share these things with others, but you
cannot legally represent them as fact either.

The only official claim The Silver Genie makes, is to produce a high quality Ionic Silver generator.
